01Do I pay anything now?
No. There's no card and no charge. You're claiming a spot and locking the $120 rate for when we open. If you change your mind, tell us and we'll take you off the list.
02Do I get my own space in there?
No. You get the run of the room. Assigned desks would mean fewer members, higher rent, and a lot of empty chairs — and the whole point is that other people are there.
03What are the hours?
24/7. Come in at two in the afternoon or two in the morning — it's the same door and the same key.
04When do you open?
Once 200 people are in. It's on South Congress — the exact address comes down to price and square footage, and you'll get it two weeks before the doors open.
05What does it cost?
$120 a month for the first 200 members, and that rate is locked for as long as you keep the membership. Nothing is charged until we open.
06Can I run a business out of it?
Yes. Sell what you make, ship it out the big door, bring someone in to look at it. Nobody's going to ask whether it's a job or a hobby.
07Why "Castle of If"?
The Château d'If is the island prison in The Count of Monte Cristo. Dantès gets out by digging, for years, with a hidden tool, in a room nobody was watching. That's the building.
